Functionality and Features

Attention given to operational performance

In addition to automatic switching in error detection, the UM7000C also supports manual switching and Emergency-through, the function to continue signal output during power shutdown.

Compact chassis (RF)

The 2RU 19" rack mount chassis is compact and a maximum of 8 RFs can be switched. In addition, you can specify failure detection thresholds for the levels of each RF ports.(The RF signal switching device is a dedicated product for the UM7000.)

Detecting MPEG-2 TS errors (ASI)

The UM7000C can monitor MPEG-2 TS errors and the data rate thresholds. This enables the setting of additional automated switching condition in comparison to only monitoring voltage level.

High-reliability operation by combining the UM7000C with a monitoring control device

By introducing an optional monitoring control device, operations combined with devices to be switched and remote control are available.

    Main features
  • Automatic and manual switching are available from both the UM7000C (ASI) and the UM7000C (RF).
  • The UM7000C detects that the signal to the headend was lost because of a line failure on line A, and switches the line automatically.

  2. A media converter, network device, or other items might be required separately.
